How-to Guide a success

I recently purchased a copy of your Smartphone & Pocket PC How-to Guide. I learned more about my Axim 51v through that issue than I have learned since I purchased my PPC a year ago. Thanks. It is a well-written magazine and is easy to follow.

I just got "The Ultimate Smartphone and Pocket PC How-to Guide" in the mail today, and MAN, WHAT A LIFESAVER!!! The first 60 pages are all things I understand and have experienced with PPCs over the years, but the last half of the guide is PURE GOLD!!! I'm reading it voraciously and trying EVERYTHING. I'm finally feeling like I'm getting a little control over WM5, and there's some hope for productivity after all.

I received the "How-to" issue yesterday and was prepared to browse it and pass it on to someone else. Let me say that this, perhaps combined with the 2007 Buyer's Guide, is one of the best magazine issues that I've seen. It is a "keeper." I learned several things that I had wondered about but hadn't had time to pursue. It has something for almost everyone. Great work!

We very much appreciate the feedback we've been receiving on the 2007 How-to Guide. We worked on it for about one year, with a very intensive focus on the Guide for the last three months prior to its publication. A big "thanks" goes to our writers and readers, who contributed a number of excellent items.
The Guide is a collection of short tips and short, focused articles providing step-by-step instructions on how to use your Pocket PC and Smartphone. We divided it into five sections:
  1. Starting provides relatively new users the kind of information you'd need in the first day or two;
  2. Learning focuses on the building blocks you'll need to sync data, install software, and change the way your Windows Mobile device looks and functions;
  3. Using explores the built-in applications and shows you how to get more out of them.
  4. Mastering shows you how to enhance the capabilities or your Windows Mobile device with third-party software and hardware accessories.
  5. Additional Resources lists online resources you can use to get your questions answered, find free software, and more.
