Sensational New Stand: PadPivot Universal

Topics:

I've seen some pretty clever and innovative stands lately, but this one really does take the cake. It's universal and will fit all Smartphones and tablets. It works in a variety of positions to accommodate just about any perching need you may have from wall mount to leg mount to plain old stand in vertical and horizontal positions at about any angle.

It's a masterpiece of design, and it was love at first site.

Show Stopper Mini-Bluetooth Speakers are DBest

Topics:

I can only give the heartiest applause for Dbest London Duo Bluetooth rechargeable mini-speakers. The are simply DBest in so many different ways.

What will catch your attention first is the clever design. They look like a large, elongated pill capsule. Held together magnetically, they pull apart for a dual speaker system--clever and compact.

The whole package measures 3.9 x 2.6 x 8.2 inches and weighs 8.3 ounces. It comes with a nice suede carrying pouch. It comes in your choice of black or white.

I found the sound quality to be superb for a mini system.

A Case for Kindle Fire

Topics:

This is not an article in favor of Kindle Fire; it's about a portfolio case for the Kindle Fire made by Griffin.

I like a portfolio case because it protects the screen as well as the body of my device. This one is a handsome black leather case. It has four diagonal elastic bands, one at each corner to secure the Kindle in place at which it does a fine job.

When you open the case book style, the screen is revealed.

Booq Python Toploader Gadget Bag

Topics:

When I first become a citizen of the digital world, I began to accumulate baggage. Little by little my pocket PC started to have a lot of companions in the form of chargers, cables, batteries, memory cards, speakers, and more. It was way too much stuff to cram into my pockets, but I couldn't live without it.

The only solution was to find some sort of gadget bag to accommodate the accessories.

Ecoxgear Headlight and USB Charger

Topics:

If you are a bike rider, listen up. If you know a bike rider, listen up. If you are thinking about becoming a bike rider, listen up.

This comes under the category of, "It's about time." I'm sure we've all said to ourselves, why didn't I think of that, it's so obvious. Well, here's one of those for you.

What I'm talking about is a bicycle head lamp that lights up the sky and your pathway with a generator and current created by the turning of the front wheel, which is energy just going to waste. Why not harness it?

But, that's not all.

Hot Toddy: Introducing the Wedge

Here's one you're just going to love. When it arrived via Fedex, it was the only thing in the box. It took me a moment to figure out exactly what it was and how it worked. But when I did decode it, I loved it and appreciated its functionality and simplicity. I wondered why no one had ever thought of it before.

The label on it says "Toddy". I always thought a toddy was a hot alcoholic beverage, not this toddy, but it's definitely hot.

Basically what we're talking about is a colorful cloth wedge that measures four by five inches with a height of about 3 1/4 inches.

Wicked Audio Ear Buds

I received two pairs of Wicked Audio ear buds to review. Why a company with so many choices of ear appliances would want to produce two new models is a mystery. Obviously they must be an improvement over existing models.

Frankly, I don't see how the listening experience could be much better than what the Wicked Deuce and Mojo ear buds produce for your listening pleasure.

A warning comes on the package about using excessive volume. Without thinking I turned a little Mozart on my iPod and plugged in the buds. I thought my head would explode, and the volume was only cranked up half way.

Hold it Right There: Prizm

They come in pairs, look like a new form of Japanese Ninja throwing knife. In fact, if the edges were sharpened, they might well function as such. Each piece has a slot that when fitted together properly become an attractive stand for digital devices.

These innovative device holders are called Prizms by Hub Innovations and come in two sizes. Most device holders are kinda clunky, but not the Prizm.

The larger size works well for iPods and 10 inch Androids in both landscape and portrait positions.

A Must Have Travel Companion: The Geneva XS Speaker System

For fear of dating myself, I remember not leaving home without a folding, windup, analog travel alarm clock. Now, there's probably not a hotel room in the world without a radio alarm clock. Now most people probably use their phone for waking up in the morning. But there's a better way.

I've discovered a speaker system to die for that does it all. The Geneva Sound System Model XS is highly portable. It folds into a study case measuring 6 1/4" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" making a compact unit in your suitcase. It weighs about one pound.
